Our basketball league is offered to Trumbull residents grades K-12. Under the supervision of volunteer coaches, players will participate in ONE GAME PER WEEK during the designated time slot for their age/grade. Grades 4-8 may have optional practices added at the coaches discretion depending on facility availability. Participants must register for the league that corresponds with the grade they are enrolled in during the 2024-2025 school year. Teams will be made by the Parks and Rec office and players will be given a Basketball League t-shirt or jersey (included in the registration fee). Team/coach requests will not be permitted. All information, including dates and times, are subject to change. We reserve the right to cancel any program if we don't meet the minimum number of participantsPlease note, the 10-12 grade league(s) may choose their own teams. This program is designed to introduce students with special needs to Martial Arts, and is tailored to accommodate a range of special needs issues and developmental challenges. Students will learn balance, control, coordination, vocabulary, as well as basic Karate moves and principles, while developing self-respect and confidence. Students age 7 and up, and their family members, are invited! Classes are held at Indian Ledge Park, Trumbull, CT

Enjoy this fun and social sport during our indoor open play sessions. Please note, this is not an instructional program. Registration is required and id's will be checked on site. Pickleball combines the elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.  It is played on a badminton size court with a hard paddle and plastic ball. Some equipment will be provided (some assembly required), but participants are required to bring their own paddles. Indoor balls ONLY. Dry, clean sneakers must be worn- street shoes will not be permitted. LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE.Programs are subject to school availability and will not take place during school cancellations, early dismissals, or school holidays. 
 
7:00 PM - 8:15 PM    TCT Dance Workshops - ADULT ONLY Musical Theater Jazz
Open-level classes for musical theatre lovers and creative movers.  Each class will include a warm-up, dance-skills development, musical theatre combination, and improvisation exercise. This workshop offers the opportunity for physical activity combined with artistically creative exercises. No experience required. Shoes: jazz or dance shoes preferred, sneakers ok.INSTRUCTORS: Jennifer Ellyson, MA, R-DMT, LPCA  received her B.S. in Dance and Psychology from SUNY Brockport in 2001.  She then studied Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling at Columbia College Chicago where she earned her M.A. in 2009.  In addition to her training in various genres of dance, she is skilled in creative movement, improvisation, composition, dance conditioning and Laban Movement Analysis.  A passionate dance educator for 28 years, Jennifer has taught in a variety of settings including studios, schools, fitness centers, and social service organizations.  She has also held teaching leadership roles at the university level. She has staged and directed many dance/music/theatrical performances throughout her career and enjoys creating community through the arts! Katrina Perkins combines over 20 years in education and her life-long love for dance to implement meaningful creative experiences for students. Her choreography credits include productions of Grease and West Side Story, as well as original choreography for show choirs, dance teams and schools, and college productions. She has taught dance to students aged 3 to 70 and appeared in several works as a performer in New York.

Please note, this is not an instructional program and all participants are expected to have experience playing. Programs are subject to school availability and will not take place during school cancellations, early dismissals, or school holidays.

Enjoy this fun and social sport during our indoor open play sessions. Please note, this is not an instructional program. Registration is required and id's will be checked on site. Pickleball combines the elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.  It is played on a badminton size court with a hard paddle and plastic ball. Some equipment will be provided (some assembly required), but participants are required to bring their own paddles. Indoor balls ONLY. Open-level classes for musical theatre lovers and creative movers.  Each class will include a warm-up, dance-skills development, musical theatre combination, and improvisation exercise. This workshop offers the opportunity for physical activity combined with artistically creative exercises. No experience required. Shoes: jazz or dance shoes preferred, sneakers ok.INSTRUCTORS: Jennifer Ellyson, MA, R-DMT, LPCA  received her B.S. in Dance and Psychology from SUNY Brockport in 2001.  She then studied Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling at Columbia College Chicago where she earned her M.A. in 2009.  In addition to her training in various genres of dance, she is skilled in creative movement, improvisation, composition, dance conditioning and Laban Movement Analysis.  A passionate dance educator for 28 years, Jennifer has taught in a variety of settings including studios, schools, fitness centers, and social service organizations.  She has also held teaching leadership roles at the university level. She has staged and directed many dance/music/theatrical performances throughout her career and enjoys creating community through the arts! Katrina Perkins combines over 20 years in education and her life-long love for dance to implement meaningful creative experiences for students. Her choreography credits include productions of Grease and West Side Story, as well as original choreography for show choirs, dance teams and schools, and college productions. She has taught dance to students aged 3 to 70 and appeared in several works as a performer in New York.
