HALF-DAY SUMMER PLAYGROUND CAMPThis shorter day playground camp offers children a few hours of outdoor fun and active play with their peers under the supervision of trained counselors. Campers will enjoy a mix of arts & crafts, sports, group activities, games, and free play. The program is designed to give kids a lively, engaging outdoor experience where they can be creative, stay active, and make new friends — all in a condensed time frame! Please note, half day campers do NOT attend field trips. Jane Ryan Half-Day Camp will take place at Tashua Knolls Pool on Tuesdays and Indian Ledge Park on Thursdays. Please note, pick up and drop off will be at the parks on Tuesday and Thursday.  ALL CAMP SITES WILL MEET RAIN OR SHINEDesignated classroom/gymnasium space at Jane Ryan school! Activities include games, arts & crafts, sports, group games and challenges. Special guests on select days! The playground camp will allow campers to be creative, explore, and have fun while making new friends. Wednesdays are trip days! All Playground Campers who attend will get to participate in the weekly trip. Detailed itineraries will be emailed that include the anticipated bus departures/arrivals and packing list. As many amusement parks have gone cashless it is suggested that each camper have a prepaid card if they will be purchasing snacks/souvenirs. Middlebrook Camp will take place at Indian Ledge Park on Tuesdays and Tashua Knolls Pool on Thursdays. Please note, pick up and drop off will be at the parks on Tuesday and Thursday. Each Tuesday the Junior Campers will get to enjoy an air conditioned private kids concert! Each Friday, Junior Camp meets at Beach Memorial Park Sprinkler Park. Staff will notify families the morning of if this happens. Every day: 8am drop off/4pm pickup (some trips* may return after 4pm). TYA JR. is designed to encourage the development of theatre performance skills, including solo & ensemble acting, singing, and movement.  This program provides the opportunity for students to hone their skills among peers with the same passion for the performing arts. Director: Maurya Brown, a Trumbull resident, will be returning to TYA Junior this summer to direct this exciting musical theater camp that culminates in live performances on August 7th & 8th. Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Rehearsals begin July 6, 2026Rehearsals are Mon. - Fri.,  from 1PM - 5PM Trumbull High School Auditorium 72 Strobel Rd., Trumbull, CT 06611. Location subject to change. EXTREME EXPLORERS CAMPThis mini-travel camp will have our 6-10 year old campers going on trips! Please note, there is no traditional playground "free play" or structured arts and crafts offered this week. Daily trips will leave from the Indian Ledge Barn (some trips* may return after 3pm). Tuesday and Thursday will be at Tashua Knolls Pool.
